Grant Writer and Educational Program Coordinator
Arielle is the Grant Writer and Educational Program Coordinator with Sustainable Long Island. As Grant Writer, she leads the drafting and submission of countless grants for potential funding on behalf of the organization. In her role as Educational Program Coordinator, she is responsible for managing the internship and high school fellowship programs for the organization’s graduate, undergraduate, and high school students and facilitates their engagement in community planning projects, advocacy issues, environmental justice, and food equity initiatives. Arielle is also experienced in brownfield redevelopment projects, food equity initiatives, storm recovery & resiliency, and community revitalization efforts, helping to coordinate public participation for NYS Brownfield Opportunity Area projects, the New York Rising Community Reconstruction Program, the Long Beach Boardwalk Visioning, and Local Waterfront Revitalization Programs. Arielle holds a B.B.A. in Corporate Finance as well as a B.A. in Environmental Studies from Queens College and was the recipient of the Environmental Studies Award for highest GPA in the major.
