Junior Community Planner and Program Coordinator

Since joining Sustainable Long Island in June 2010, Janice has been engaged in community planning projects, brownfield redevelopment, and Food Equity initiatives. Janice completed a Master’s Thesis that investigated urban food systems and community food security, with a focus on small-scale urban agriculture projects.  Her prior experience includes community planning work at Pratt Center for Community Development.  She holds a Master’s of Science in City and Regional Planning from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn and a Bachelor’s of Science in Environmental Studies from the University of Vermont.
